For people of every culture and age, stories are important: creating them, telling them, reading them, writing them; true stories, made-up stories, legends, myths. The stories I tell are mainly in longer form, in prose, but recently I’ve started wanting to use the shorter, more concise form of poetry – because often the stories that grab my attention can be told in under a hundred words.
